Absence Notifications

The LoboRESPECT Advocacy Center facilitates faculty communication for student absences longer than five (5) days.

Lobo Food Pantry

A free resource for all currently enrolled Lobos! The Lobo Food Pantry features fresh foods, shelf-stable items, and personal care products. The Pantry is donation-based and offers volunteer opportunities, too!

Stress Reduction Yoga

Trauma-informed yoga to awaken student spiritual wellness and improve their physical and mental health.

Short-Term Disabilities

Temporary disabilities are not covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), but UNM does offer resource navigation for students experiencing a temporary disability/injury.

SHAC Health Promotion

The Health Promotions team at SHAC is all about educating Lobos to be the healthiest versions of themselves. They offer specialized services like STI testing, programs such as Barrier Necessities, and workshops like Establishing Boundaries and Overcoming Stress and Anxiety.

Barrier Necessities

Barrier Necessities is a FREE sexual health & STL prevention program that provides education, condoms, dental dams, and lubricant to over 27 locations at UNM Main, North, South, and Branch Campuses.

SHAC Sexual & Reproductive Health

SHAC offers a variety of services specific to sexual and reproductive health, including STI testing, contraception counseling, and gender affirming hormone therapy.

Lobo Wellness

Learn how to manage your physical and nutritional health with SHAC’s Lobo Wellness programming.

Addiction & Substance Abuse Program

ASAP provides services to adults and adolescents with a primary substance abuse diagnosis and/or individuals who have a substance abuse disorder along with other mental health disorders.

Accessibility Resource Center

Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) recognizes individuals with disabilities as an integral part of a diverse community and is committed to the provision of comprehensive resources to the University community (faculty, staff, and student) in order to create equitable, inclusive, and practical learning environments.

Workshops @ SHAC

SHAC offers tons of workshops each semester designed to help you establish boundaries, practice mindfulness, survive midterms/finals, and more.

Collegiate Recovery Center

The Collegiate Recover Center offers peer-led and peer-organized support for students seeking addiction and substance use recovery support. The center is open to UNM and CNM students.

COSAP

The Campus Office of Substance & Alcohol Prevention (COSAP) provides prevention education and connection to campus and community resources.

Recreational Services

Recreational Services – also known as Rec Services – runs UNM’s gym and aquatic facilities and offers student-centered programming such as intramural and club sports, inclusive recreation events, the Outdoor Adventure Center, Lobo Bike Shop, etc.

Medical Services @ SHAC

The Student Health and Counseling Center (SHAC) offers various medical services including routine physicals, preventative care, sexual and reproductive health services, an allergy and immunization clinic, physical therapy, and more.

A virtual health platform providing medical, counseling, psychiatry, and other services. No insurance required!

Universal Restrooms

Universal Restrooms on UNM’s Main Campus are located in/near the LGBTQ Resource Center, Dean of Students Office, Accessibility Resource Center, and Women’s Resource Center.

Psychiatry @ SHAC

SHAC offers psychiatry appointments for diagnosis, medication management, and treatment interventions above those typically addressed in a routine medical checkup.

Student Orgs

UNM has hundreds of chartered student organizations spanning academic interests, ethnic & cultural communities, and more. There is a group for every Lobo!

Lobo Eats

LoboEats is a new app connecting the UNM community with free leftover food from campus events, reducing waste and supporting food-insecure Lobos.

Lobo Food Pantry

The Lobo food pantry offers free nourishing food for UNM students. The pantry can serve as a supplemental nutrition option to help students fight food insecurity.

Outdoor Adventure Center

From Challenge Courses, OUtdoor adventure trips throughout New Mexico and Rentals for recreation activities, this resource offers a variety of wellness opportunities.

Curanderismo- Traditional Healing

A course that explores the history, traditions, and practices of Curanderismo, a Mexican folk healing art, through this course led by Southwest healers and health practitioners.

Lactation Stations are available in a number of locations on Main and North Campus.

Lobo Garden

Lobo Gardens is an outdoor learning lab promoting sustainable food practices, hands-on research, and fresh produce for UNM's Lobo Food Pantry.
